The first semester, there will be 7 subjects.
1.CSC134 - COMPUTER AND INFORMATION PROCESSING ( 3.0 ) : All about computers and softwares.
2.CTU085 - ISLAMIC WORLD VIEW ( 2.0 ) : Like agama. And almost every students can score. Kinda easy. Heheh
3.ELC080 - ENGLISH FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES I ( 3.0 ) : Will help u in ur Muet. Trust me..
4.ELC091 - CRITICAL READING AND REASONING FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES ( 3.0 ) Also english but teach u on critical thinking.
5.LAW012 - INTRODUCTION TO LAW I ( 4.0 ) : Bsically, history of law, and its philosophers.
6.LAW016 - INTRODUCTION TO MALAYSIAN SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS ( 4.0 ) : Malaysian Legal system. Like, federal constitution and all that.
7.LAW038 - LEGAL RESEARCH AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SKILLS ( 4.0 ) : Teach about sources of law and etc.
So, as you can see there are three law subjects which you must score. No excuses.. Actually, what I have learned through out this foundation, the first semester is so so so important for you to score. Other subjects are quite important too. If you failed any subjects, then you must repeat the paper in the second semester which might overlap with your personal schedule. Just do your best, and do not give up!!
For the second semester,
1. CTU086-FUNDAMENTALS OF SHARI'AH : Basically, macam agama. But, it contains law sikit,
2. ECO099-INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMICS : You will learn about basic of economics.
3. ELC092-COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES :It is more to forum, debate and speech.
4. ELC093-ACADEMIC WRITING FOR FOUNDATION STUDIES : You will learn about how to write a thesis and do some research.
5. LAW037-INTRODUCTION TO LAW II : Basically, about malaysian courts, study about cases and etc.
6.LAW039-INTRODUCTION TO SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY AND CRIMINOLOGY : Yeah, psychology. It is interesting to learn about how and why a person acts based on his or her environment or social norms.
7. LAW087-INTRODUCTION TO LAW III : More to law of contract, law of tort and criminal law.
8. LAW088- CONTEMPORARY GLOBAL AND LEGAL ISSUES : Current issues.
So, in this asasi, you will learn in English, excpt for agama subjects.
Well, sekejap ke sebenarnya. Tak sampai setahun pun actually. Hahah.
Lastly, do not be afraid to talk in english. Ignore what people say and just continue with your life Dont bother them. Mybe to some extent, you will feel the pressure, do not worry or panic at that time. Just relax and in the mean time, do other things that entertain you. Like, usik housemates ke, nyanyi lagu hindustan ke (I did this, hahah) or whatever. As long as it makes u happy..
At the end of the day, you will miss your asasi life. (I do).
